We will directly target consumer customers through digital sales channels and sales agents in order to unlock the opportunity that exists from (i) the estimated 17.2m households in South Africa (as at 2019), together with (ii) the unstable electricity supply in the country, which occurred 15% of the time in the first half of 2021 (this does not taken into account any outages that are not planned outages, by the state-owned electricity utility, for load reduction on the electricity grid. We define consumer customer aggregators as property developers and sectional title body corporates and home-owner associations. Through partnerships, such as with Gbitel, we are able to mass onboard customers. Our solution is perfectly suited to service the business segment, which (i) in 2019 generated R10.5trn in turnover, (ii) has been disrupted by the unstable electricity supply (further exacerbated by the global covid-19 pandemic), (iii) with the effects of the disruption more hard-felt by the MSME segment  (MSME generate R3.7trn in revenue, and ~87% of all formal jobs).
